Service Technician

Bobcat of Lansing is an independent Bobcat dealership located at 3237 W Miller Rd in Lansing, Michigan. We sell, service, and support Bobcat compact equipment and related products. We are currently hiring a Service Technician to join our shop.

The Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains Bobcat compact equipment — including skid-steer and compact track loaders, compact excavators, utility vehicles, and attachments — both in our shop and, as needed, in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on Bobcat compact equipment.
• Perform repairs, scheduled maintenance, and pre-delivery inspections to manufacturer standards.
• Complete warranty repairs and document findings clearly on repair orders.
• Work cleanly and safely in the shop; assist with field service calls when required.
• Coordinate with the Service Writer and Parts Specialist to keep jobs moving efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience servicing compact equipment, heavy equipment, agricultural, or diesel machinery.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Own basic hand tools; specialized tooling provided by the dealership.
• Valid driver's license; clean driving record preferred for field service work.
• Ability to lift heavy parts and work onsite in Lansing, MI.
