Shop Technician I – SPM Oil & Gas | El Reno, OK

SPM Oil & Gas, a Caterpillar company, is seeking a Shop Technician I who will primarily work in the shop making repairs to oilfield equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude and a solid work ethic.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Pay: $19.85/hour (additional based on experience)
• Pay Range: $19.85 – $26.55
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM; 24/7 on call; alternate Saturdays

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and break down, clean, inspect, repair, and test oilfield equipment
• Read and follow standard operating procedures
• Execute general shop maintenance including cleanup of shop, work area, and equipment
• Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test equipment based on customer communications
• Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment
• Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, and air tools
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic
