This role is responsible for helping to maintain accurate control documentation in AuditBoard, assist with walkthroughs, support risk assessments, and coordinate requests with process owners, IT, and external auditors. You’ll contribute to quarterly control certifications, help with the annual finance policy review, and provide general support to Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting, and External Reporting. This role is a great opportunity to learn and grow in internal controls, compliance, and financial processes. Occasional travel to TTC locations may be required.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Internal Controls/SOX
- Assist with training management and process owners in developing and maintaining efficient and effective internal controls
- Assist in implementing value-added recommendations that strengthen internal controls, remediate control deficiencies, prevent fraud and improve processes
- Maintain current internal control process and control documentation in the AuditBoard platform, including narratives, flowcharts, control descriptions, etc.
- Assists in coordination of the IT general controls program with IT
- Assists in the execution of the annual risk assessment
- Assists in facilitation of the quarterly control certifications and other control related tasks
- Organize and participate in walkthrough meetings with process owners and external auditors and facilitate related requests
- Policy Management
- Assist in the annual finance policy review process
- Other
- Work closely with Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting, and External Reporting teams
- Includes occasional business travel to various TTC locations
- Perform other duties as assigned
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related degree
- 0-2 years’ of experience in public accounting, internal audit, or Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external customers in a hybrid environment
- Effective time management and organizational skills
Preferred qualifications:
- CPA, CIA or CISA (If certified, please provide certification number)
- Knowledge or experience working with financial systems
- An understanding of GAAP, SEC, and SOX requirements
- Experience in public accounting, internal audit, or Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

- Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $68,000 - $75,000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
